President GMA’s 1M NY Dinner
August 11, 2009 by Papi for President
By now, you are already aware that President Arroyo and his entourage spent close to USD20,000 or around PHP1,000,000 over a New York dinner during her stay in the US last week.
Why the fuss over that dinner?
For one, although I haven’t tried it yet, I am sure that the amount is just normal for the “Who’s Who” in that area of the world. And GMA is a president for effin’s sake. The Philippines may just be a developing world but it doesn’t mean you should let the president eat dinner at a hotdog stand, or at a nearest McDo. She is, regardless of the GDP of our country, a dignitary in a foreign land. And when you’re in Rome, you do what the Romans do. In New York, public figures don’t just dine in McDo.
Also, the spokesperson said it was actually a Congressman (whose net worth is around half a billion) who paid the tab — whether the money is from our taxes or not is another matter.

I am here again to comment on your stupid post. Let me tell you something. I am a Pilot and Occupational Therapist here in California earning $200,000.00 a year. By American standard that is way above middle class. I have had my fair share of fine dining in New York and especially in California where the cost of living is very expensive. Nobody’s arguing that public officials should not dine in a sassy place? Let me tell you that $20k is a lot of money, and coming from a third world country whose debt is fuckin ridiculous! That is a slap in the face dude! Right now, the country experienced another natural disaster. Why the fuss about dinner? People could have used that money to aid them in this times of trouble. For your information, $3,000 could have fed GMA and all of her staff (fine dining with expensive wine) without shaking their EGO. Let me give a piece of advice. Maybe you should take some time out and reflect on things that is happening around you. I hope that would change your outlook and perception about reality as well as absurdity.
$200,000.00 a year?! Wow! hey, Walter, check this out:

Why don’t you focus on the issue. You don’t have any relevant answers you moron. Quit playing around and direct your answer toward a particular argument motherfucker!!!!!
oww… that was a form of argument… i thought it’s pure hooliganism. want me to define it for you or can you just google it? thanks. :-)
Did I say it was a “form of argument” or you? I want you to google “hooliganism” so you would know when and how to use the word. What a sad and lame excuse to deviate on the issue. Why don’t you defend your work? Asshole!!!!
